Wow, that was fast!  It’s hard to believe these little beauties are already 2 weeks old.  Right on schedule, some of Peanut’s labradoodle puppies opened their eyes today.  I expect by tomorrow everyone will have their eyes wide open and be taking in this strange new world they can now see firsthand.

All the pups are gaining weight exceptionally well.  Peanut has the appetite of a horse as opposed to a mini labradoodle mama!  We are also having to clip the puppies nails every other day now so when they nurse they don’t scratch and claw at Peanut’s sensitive skin so much.

Peanut has lots of energy and is taking more breaks from the puppies now.  She enjoys getting out and running around in the back of the property with our other dogs.  Her favourite thing though is to eat haha and to lie in the house where it is lovely and cool thanks to central air.

We are just thrilled with the colours of these multigen labradoodle pups.  Blue collar boy in particular has gorgeous copper highlights mixed in with his chocolate parti markings.  The chocolate puppies are all a rich, dark brown with hints of gold in certain lights.  Each and every one of these puppies is unique and special.  The household chores are woefully behind as both of us love to sit and gaze in wonder at these amazing bundles of cuddles.
