We are very excited to announce the safe and healthy delivery of the Café Noir litter. Mom, Oceana, started labour at midnight on December 30. The first puppy was born at 12:45am with the ninth and final puppy arriving at 9:10am. It was a long labour but Oceana did amazing. She took care of everything on her own and has done well with adjusting to her role. This is Oceana’s fourth and final litter. She is a confident mom and is very relaxed. She is producing enough milk for this large litter of hers and everything is going smoothly.
We use Velcro collars to differentiate the puppies. They each get a different color and that is how we keep track of them. About 24-hrs after birth we weigh the puppies and give them their collars.
Girl. Starting weight, 315 grams. This little girl has a little goatee and different markings on her paws, which could indicate some phantom patterns.
Boy. Starting weight, 367 grams. A good sized puppy, sometimes that can indicate their mature weight. We will see if this guy stays on the bigger size.
Boy. Starting weight, 350 grams. A nice solid little boy. He has a tiny little goatee right now, which might fade out but is pretty adorable.
Boy. Starting weight, 340 grams. A gorgeous light brown color and good sized puppy.
Boy. Starting weight, 293 grams. This little guy seems quite calm and content. He is a beautiful chocolate color with a few highlights throughout his coat.
Boy. Starting weight, 292 grams. This little one is a parti, he has asymmetrical markings on his face and back. He has lots of interesting patterns and colors.
Girl. Starting weight, 328 grams. A good size little girl, with lovely light brown coloring.
Boy. Starting weight, 275 grams. A little guy with amazing parti patterns. His face is symmetrical and his back has swooshes and swirls.
Boy. Starting weight, 353 grams. This little one was a little squirmy getting his collar on, I wonder if he will stay feisty.
The Café Noir litter is a good example of the consistency you can have with a multi-generation Australian Labradoodle
