Cafe Noir puppies Born

Puppy Update

We are very excited to announce the safe and healthy delivery of the Café Noir litter. Mom, Oceana, started labour at midnight on December 30. The first puppy was born at 12:45am with the ninth and final puppy arriving at 9:10am. It was a long labour but Oceana did amazing. She took care of everything on her own and has done well with adjusting to her role. This is Oceana’s fourth and final litter. She is a confident mom and is very relaxed. She is producing enough milk for this large litter of hers and everything is going smoothly.

We use Velcro collars to differentiate the puppies. They each get a different color and that is how we keep track of them. About 24-hrs after birth we weigh the puppies and give them their collars.

Close up image of 4 sleeping puppies cuddled together. A white and chocolate parti pattern is in the center facing the camera. Behind that puppy is a chocolate colored puppys face. Bottom left corner is another chocolate puppy sleeping on his side. The right side of the image is the back/body of the other chocolate colored puppy.

Introducing Cafe noir

Birds eye view of 5 puppies sleeping and nursing. There is a parti pattern puppy wearing a red collar in the center of the image, he is nursing. To his right is another white and chocolate parti pattern puppy sleeping, wearing a blue collar. The other puppies are chocolate colored and we can only see their backs.
Pink

Girl. Starting weight, 315 grams. This little girl has a little goatee and different markings on her paws, which could indicate some phantom patterns.

Orange

Boy. Starting weight, 367 grams. A good sized puppy, sometimes that can indicate their mature weight. We will see if this guy stays on the bigger size.

Green

Boy. Starting weight, 350 grams. A nice solid little boy. He has a tiny little goatee right now, which might fade out but is pretty adorable.

Purple

Boy. Starting weight, 340 grams. A gorgeous light brown color and good sized puppy.

Light Blue

Boy. Starting weight, 293 grams. This little guy seems quite calm and content. He is a beautiful chocolate color with a few highlights throughout his coat.

Brown

Boy. Starting weight, 292 grams. This little one is a parti, he has asymmetrical markings on his face and back. He has lots of interesting patterns and colors.

Close up of 2 one-week old chocolate colored puppies sleeping beside each other. They are on their sides both facing the camera. They are snuggled with other chocolate colored puppies.
Picture taken from above. 4 one-week old puppies. Left to right there iare two chocolate puppies, a parti pattern (white and chocolate) nursing, another parti pattern is asleep on their back with legs stretched out straight up, a chocolate colored puppy is nursing and then another chocolate colored puppy is asleep.
Peach

Girl. Starting weight, 328 grams.  A good size little girl, with lovely light brown coloring.

Dark Blue

Boy. Starting weight, 275 grams. A little guy with amazing parti patterns. His face is symmetrical and his back has swooshes and swirls.

Red

Boy. Starting weight, 353 grams. This little one was a little squirmy getting his collar on, I wonder if he will stay feisty.

The Café Noir litter is a good example of the consistency you can have with a multi-generation Australian Labradoodle
