The KO litter is two weeks old now and there have been some major milestones occur this past week.  The puppies are now all beginning to totter about on their still unsteady four legs.  It is quite entertaining to watch them try to balance and figure out how to get their feet to move without doing a roll job.

Oceana is very happy with her family and takes good care of everyone.  The puppies are always spotless as she is quite fastidious about keeping them all tidy and licked clean.  Everyone is gaining weight nicely and I find I have to loosen their coloured ID bands every couple of days now that they are growing so quickly.

The puppies have all had their nails trimmed a couple of times now.  We are sure to handle all their little paws several times during the day so when nail trimming time arrives they are used to us touching their feet.

This litter is one that communicates constantly.  It is seldom you don’t hear at least one of the puppies “talking” about something.  I always find this interesting as the puppies themselves are not able to hear themselves or one another.  It seems to work though as they find their way to Oceana and one another quite readily.

No-one has opened their eyes yet but we expect to see some beautiful brown eyes making an appearance very shortly.  I have to be sure to really look carefully when checking for opened eyes as with all that gorgeous dark chocolate everywhere it’s easy to miss something!  All this talk about chocolate is making me hungry.
