It’s hard to believe it has already been 8 days since these lovelies appeared on the scene.  Labradoodle puppies are all adorable but these little drops of chocolate and caramel are exceptionally pretty we think.  Pippa agrees!

Pipster has settled into her role as Mama Doodle quite nicely and all the puppies are gaining well and learning the ropes and all that is involved in day to day life as a Van Isle Labradoodle puppy.  We spend a large amount of time handling each of the puppies, weighing them, checking them for development and also working with all of them to desensitize them and expose them in a positive manner to new experiences.

We play music for our labradoodle puppies and vary the selections even though they are not yet able to hear.  The vibrations though seem to be able to be sensed by puppies.  So far Renald feels they are Country fans and I am leaning more to thinking they are contemporary guitar fans.

As you can see from this week’s statistics, all the puppies are gaining weight and Pippa is doing a good job of eating well.

Sometimes Pippa prefers to be hand fed in the nest with the puppies and other times she comes out and eats with all our other Van Isle Labradoodles.  She is enjoying a gourmet feast of sweet potatoes, zucchini, carrots, turnips, rice, dark chicken meat and both cooked beef roast and raw beef roast.  Pippa is also very partial to lamb and really enjoys it when she has some of my Scotch Broth.

We hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.  At Van Isle Labradoodles we are so very thankful for this incredible litter of multigenerational mini Australian Labradoodle puppies.  We are also thankful for the wonderful families who will soon be welcoming one of these little lovelies into their own homes.  Now, if we can just get Bijoux to cycle then we will have even more happy families!!
