Peanut gave us quite an eventful arrival of her 8 gorgeous puppies from Tickle (Puppy Love”s Just Tickled).
On September 5th at 9:00 pm Peanut’s temperature had dropped indicating that puppies would be arriving within the next 24 hours. At 1:30 in the morning of September 6th, Peanut came to tell me that she was getting to ready for the puppies to arrive. She and I moved from the human bedroom to the nursery to get settled in for the anticipated arrival.
We waited and waited and waited with nothing happening. Finally, around 4:00am it looked as though we were underway. When the puppy didn’t arrive as quickly as it should I was able to ascertain that it was in breach but I wasn’t able to reposition the puppy myself so off to the vet we raced.
The vet also couldn’t get the puppy to reposition and we opted for an emergency C section option to save both the litter and Peanut. While we were getting prepped for the surgery guess what happened? The stuck puppy was delivered! We were all totally shocked and so very proud of Peanut. She delivered the second puppy at the vet as well then we topped her up with 250 ccs of fluids and came back home.

It was another long wait for puppy number 3 to arrive buy by 11 pm we had all 8 puppies delivered. The puppies were all happy, healthy and gorgeous. Peanut and I were both dishevelled and exhausted!
Interestingly we have 7 boys and only 1 female in the group. Quite an unusual occurrence. We have a solid gold caramel, solid soft brown, 2 caramel partis and 4 chocolate partis. They are all stunning with incredible markings and lovely shiny coats.
Peanut has taken a little longer to recover fully and I wish I could tell her this is her retirement litter. She is fine now and has lots of energy and is taking fabulous care of her puppies.
As a result of having only 1 female available for us to retain as a breeding prospect, we do have 1 spot available in this litter! These puppies will be going to their forever homes on November 4. If you would like to be considered for the open spot in the Marvelous Mix Up litter, please submit an Application Form.
