Can dogs see colors?
Puppies don’t open their eyes until they are around 2 weeks old.
Their nervous system isn’t developed enough for them to handle all the stimuli from being able to see until they are between 2 and 3 weeks old.
Labradoodle puppies will all have blue eyes initially but they will change to amber, hazel or deep chocolate brown as they get older.
Once their eyes are open, do puppies see colors like we do?
While they do see some colors, they don’t see all colors like we do.
Puppies can’t see red or orange well, for instance.

Mama Labradoodle Orca is back in the Doodle Den!

After a medical leave of absence, Orca received the all clear to come back to her puppies. The puppies were overjoyed to have that warm, caring, soft Mama body to curl up against. While we can fulfil all the nutritional needs of the puppies and give them endless snuggles, nothing beats the love of a Mama dog.

Orca is settling back in comfortably and while she still tires easily as she recovers physically, you can see the happiness in her eyes to be back with her little family of medium Australian Labradoodles

It’s milestone number 1 for these petite Australian Labradoodles from the Petite Noix litter at Van Isle Doodles.

This means it’s more likely in the future for the same mutations to meet up and cause a health issue. This is our final puppy birth announcement as we won’t be having any more Labradoodle puppies for 4 months! Everyone decided to have their puppies in clumps this year. It’s so much fun to be surrounded by so much Labradoodle love.

We are fortunate to have things intentionally set up to handle 4 litters and that we have an amazing team to support us and all the puppies.

In today’s birth announcement video, you’ll get to meet each of the petite Australian Labradoodle puppies from Noisette and Rocky. We thought this would be Rocky’s first litter but it ended up being his second, by 1 day – not even a full 24 hours!
